Stability, according to western policy makers, is the act of shoring-up Arab dictatorial regimes in order to control the masses. Since the 70’s when “Stability” became a cornerstone of US policy, we have witnessed non-reprieving and massive crawl towards Islamic extremism that culminated in ideologies capable of unprecedented terror. Today, by engaging with Assad of Syria, this US administration is indirectly feeding Islamic extremist ideologies. It’s time the west dismantle violent regimes in the Middle East by any means possible. It’s time for the moderates, armed with economic powers, to have a say in their country’s future.
