A Stakeholder Democratic Vision or a Dictatorial Republican Blindness?

A Stakeholder Democratic Vision or a Dictatorial Republican Blindness
Birmingham, Alabama 1963

Many people are at a loss explaining President Trump’s efforts to undermine our democracy. But upon a closer look, the facts are staring at us. The elites in this country are, through demographics, losing control and Trump, along with many Republicans, want to wrestle control by institutionalizing a form of dictatorship. Because of Donald Trump, the choice is clear now. Either we must rally behind a stakeholder Democratic vision or a Republican dictatorship.

The stakeholder vision means we all benefit from participating in protecting our stakes in our democracy through diversity, equality, and justice. Both economic and political. Something the Democratic Party is inclined to do.

The call by General Michael Flynn, some 10 days ago, for Trump to declare Martial Law is just the first step towards a Republican, all-white men dictatorship.

DIVERSITY EXPLOSION

In his latest book, “Diversity Explosion: How New Racial Demographics are Remaking America“, William H. Frey writes this introduction:

New census population projections confirm the importance of racial minorities as the primary demographic engine of the nation’s future growth, countering an aging, slow-growing and soon to be declining white population. The new statistics project that the nation will become “minority white” in 2045. During that year, whites will comprise 49.7 percent of the population in contrast to 24.6 percent for Hispanics, 13.1 percent for blacks, 7.9 percent for Asians, and 3.8 percent for multiracial populationsWilliam H. Frey

This introduction of the 2018 book provides an insight into the inner working of Donald Trump’s mind. He believes that the white people in America cannot lose to a more diverse population, and therefore the only option remaining is to destroy our democratic system of government in favor of a Republican permanent dictatorship. With a side accoutrement of a more permanent $7.50 an hour minimum wage to subjugate the minorities to a permanent life of servitude.

Tell me again please, who won the civil war in America? Will it be a stakeholder Democratic vision or a Republican dictatorship?

The call by General Michael Flynn, some 10 days ago, for Trump to declare Martial Law is just the first step towards a Republican, all-white men dictatorship. Some called it seditious; but to Trump and et al., it is the roadmap to saving the United States from the Asians, the Blacks, and the Latinos all willing to vote their asses out of power in the near future.

The notion that they [Trumpist Republicans] are calling for an American Apartheid has not occurred to any of them.

REPUBLICAN REPRESENTATIVES ON-BOARD

Some in the Republican Senate and Congress are fully on-board with the idea of a Republican dictatorship; not too dissimilar from those we find in Russia; or the kind of total control the Communist Party in China yields over the government. The notion that they are calling for an American Apartheid has not occurred to any of them. It is just that some white power-hungry politicians tend to lose their marbles once in a while, but with Trump around, they lost them permanently.

Never will they have a leader like Trump again. Someone who will toss aside any decorum of decency in favor of outright criminal behavior. If some of these Republicans do not grab that chance now, they may lose it forever. And we are not out of the woods yet. Trump may very well yet declare Martial Law on January 19 and order the Pentagon to enforce it. If you think this is far-fetched, do crawl out of your hibernating cave.

Where have you been the last four years?

Tens of thousands of Trump supporters are descending on Washington DC on January 6 to protest the outcome of the elections. Depending on their mood, Trump may decide this is the best opportunity he has for a political coup against the U.S. Government. Especially if his supporters come armed and ready for a fight.

I hope this is not the case. In fact, I am delighted to see many wise Republicans, like Liz Cheney (@Liz_Cheney) and Mitt Romney (@mittromney), stand-up to Trump. Better patriotic instincts must prevail if we are to survive Trump and his treachery.

Meanwhile, the more Americans speak out against a Republican dictatorship, the stronger our democracy gets.
