Punditry StaffGuess who is laughing their hearts out this Tuesday morning after Senator Chuck Schumer failed to debate the Freedom to Vote and the John R. Lewis Voting Acts on MLK day? Yes, Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. Right next to Merrick Garland, add Senator Chuck Schumer to the list of wimpy politicians in Washington whose speeches and threats of playing hardball are just … theatrics. No wonder Manchin and Sinema are walking all over the President and the Democrats in general. They, before us, know that wimpy dastards rule the Democratic Party in Washington.
All Schumer had to do was bring the two Acts for debate on the Senate floor, as he promised, to put pressure on both holdouts from his own party. Yet, he failed to do so. Watch this video of Ari Melber of MSNBC feel as betrayed by Schumer as we all are.
Biden cannot even persuade the Democrats in support of his own agenda. How is he going to implement a bipartisanship spirit with the Republicans?

This failure to debate our voting rights and force the despicable Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema to vote against the filibuster rule to pass both bills on the very same day of the anniversary of MLK sends a bad vibe to the African-American communities across this country without whom neither President Joe Biden, nor Senator Chuck Schumer would have ascended to the positions of power they enjoy today.
It’s like Americans have given power to those who don’t know how to use, or don’t deserve it, to serve the interests of their voters. Wimpy is exactly the word to describe the Biden Administration and all its accoutrements of cowardly politicians. Between Merrick Garland who has failed to indict, so far, the Fuhrer Trump for sedition, and now Schumer for his hollow threats, no wonder Joe Biden himself looks weak. He has surrounded himself with the wrong people to protect our democracy at a time it needs the most protection.
We might as well welcome Fuhrer Trump into the White House again. We might as well not vote for a President who cannot protect us. Further, we might as well sit out the next two election cycles because it seems the Democrats cannot help us vote.

Maybe Nancy Pelosi should replace Schumer. At least, she does not bend backwards as often as Schumer has.
