Punditry StaffIf you have read the article Edward-Isaac Dovere wrote for CNN, which takes us through a time journey four decades ago when Senator Edward Kennedy’s challenge to President Jimmy Carter paved the way for President Ronald Reagan to win in 1980, you would surely have thought to yourself how could 1980 even remotely look like 2024. How could anyone believe that Joe Biden is Jimmy Carter, or Donald Trump is Ronald Reagan? It is obvious from the article that the Biden machine spin is at a high pitch given the President smells sharks in the water. For the Democratic political machine, it is bad judgment to rally around Joe Biden for 2024. Let the challengers rise. We would be better off as a country if they did.
Folks, fearmongering to secure mediocrity will certainly invite a Republican candidate to win in 2024. Don’t you think Mitch McConnell is already planning Biden’s demise based on his four-year term in office? Furthermore, what happened to “Let the best man win”? Instead “Let us kill them all in their cribs, so that I am the only one standing”?
Don’t let bad politics and bad politicians fester and rot to serve their own narrow interests. Had Joe Biden been able to control Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Synema, we would not be writing these words. Let us never forget what President Joe Biden is capable of.
Who is ready for another four years of malaise and indecisiveness?
We cannot let the Democratic spin machine pin us to the wall, or corner us with their tall messages. Think the worst case scenario: Who would win if DeSantis challenged Biden in 2024?
NO WONDER GARLAND WON’T PROSECUTE TRUMP
Ronald Reagan winning against Jimmy Carter was a combination of skill, bad luck, and even worse judgement calls. Had Jimmy Carter saved the American hostages from Iran, he might have won. Had Jimmy Carter not looked tired and his White House gripped by low expectations, he would have won. Further, had Ronald Reagan not been this decisive candidate with a strong message, he probably would not have won.
Biden pegging himself as the candidate to run against Donald Trump, instead of Ron DeSantis or some other popular GOP figure leads one to believe he is using him to secure his own party leadership. No wonder Attorney General Merrick Garland, so far, won’t prosecute Donald Trump. Could he be playing Biden’s game as well? After all, a free to run Trump helps propagate the Biden spin “With Trump, I will be the last man standing”.
Maybe the above analysis sounds harsh, but nothing in politics should surprise us anymore. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Who wants to wait for 2024 when it’s too late to consider an alternative to Joe Biden?
America needs fresh blood. The shelf life of these tired old men born in the forties has expired. Let a younger generation, more in touch with the realities of today’s hyper competitive politics, take over.
