Punditry StaffIf you don’t see the dynamics between Merrick Garland ignoring the crimes of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin preparing to invade the Ukraine, neither does Garland, or Joe Biden for that matter. Blame Merrick Garland for Putin challenging President Biden, and wrecking havoc on the European continent and possibly our economy. Garland’s timidity and fear in prosecuting Trump is echoing around the globe as a weakness of the United States of America. Our Attorney-General does not see the harm he is causing the President and our country because of his callousness.
Garland’s lack of action is now fostering events that could start WWIII.
Someone appeared on @TheReidOut with Joy Reid and said that Garland is a cautious man. There is “cautious” and then there is “utter ignorance and incompetency”. The day Putin threatened Ukraine is the day the Russian strongman realized the United States, because of Garland, has entered the latter stage. Putin thinks the Biden Administration is too weak to respond to his threats, and Garland may have provided the primary clue to his conclusion.
Fire Merrick Garland to show the world we care about our democracy. Fire him to stop our enemies from perceiving us as too weak.
IS IT TIME TO FIRE MERRICK GARLAND?
The mid-term elections are around the corner, and one must assume the Republicans will take control of the House. Besides shutting down the January 6 Commission, the GOP leadership would also pass whatever laws are necessary to protect Donald Trump from the law.
The DOJ has very little time to act, yet, here we sit waiting for the Attorney-General to do his job. In the meantime, our enemies are starting to feast on our weakness. On Garland’s overt weakness, the most visible sign yet that our country has become easy for the taking.
Is it time to fire Merrick Garland? Yes, it’s time. In fact, it should have happened on January 6, 2022 to commemorate his lack of action. Putin sees Trump coming back in 2024 thanks to Garland’s inaction.
Many Democrats are calling for the President to change some of his White House staff. But none is seeking Garland’s removal. I truly believe no one sees the link between Garland’s weakness and Putin’s actions. They don’t see what the rest of the world sees in us. Putin does, for sure, and this is why he is threatening Ukraine, again.
Not only Democrats have to deal with the culture wars the GOP have launched around the country, but, because of appearances, Democrats have to deal with the barbarity of Vladimir Putin. Had Garland shown some spine against Trump, I doubt Putin would be so bold, so fast. He may have threatened, but not provided us the view from above that he is invading for sure.
