Break the United Nations Into Two Entities

What happens if the United Nations decides it wants to dissolve itself? Without the Security Council input or vetoes? Is such a maneuver possible? President Zelensky of Ukraine asked for such a drastic measure in the aftermath of the Russian Bucha atrocities against innocent civilians. Should we not break the United Nations into two entities? One that upholds the rule of law globally, which only peaceful democracies can administer, and another whose task would be to protect human rights and assist refugees around the world?

The Russian veto at the U.N. has become a veto in favor of terrorizing women and children and waging wars on democracies. And although the main driver of peaceful co-existence has been the stability of an economic global order, and not the United Nations, which has become a tool for countries sponsors of terror to abuse, the world still relies on an old relic to secure an insecure world.

Walk away from the United Nations. It’s the only sensible thing to do to stop bad actors from dictating to the rest of the world.

BREAK THE UNITED NATIONS INTO TWO ENTITIES

What happens if the United States, France, and the UK decide, along with most stable democracies around the globe, to abandon their membership in the United Nations in concert? The body would certainly collapse, or possibly become a club of authoritarian actors without the economic or political clout to have any impact on the world stage.

After which, all democracies fund their own world body based on a set of rules never to allow another nuclear bully to threaten anyone else’s existence. It’s unconscionable to let Russia, or any other state sponsor of terror, to dictate to the rest of the world while real democracies look so impotent and so helpless. This is not how we create a lasting security world order. It is not how we hope peace and prosperity become the main drivers of powerful nations if they continue to turn a blind eye to a fallible framework providing neither.

Walk away from the United Nations. It’s the only sensible thing to do to stop bad actors from dictating to the rest of the world.

Walk away from the United Nations to demolish a structure lending to today’s world insecurities.

A NEW VETO FORMAT

The U.S. and its traditional allies should even consider a new veto format based on new post World War II alliances. Such as the one providing the United States, France, the Untied Kingdom, Germany, and Japan with that veto power. Instead of an old foe in Russia, which, since World War II, has yet to demonstrate the capacity to respect human rights. Remember the Iron Curtain? Remember the poverty and miserable existence Eastern Europe endured under the Soviet umbrella? Why would any country want to give the savages in Russia any veto power is beyond me.

Walk away from the United Nations to demolish a structure lending to today’s world insecurities. It’s in our best interests to do so at this juncture in time.

Besides its bloated bureaucracy, the body has become a driver of terror because of its veto system.

THE U.N. BEST PRACTICE

If you consider how the Red Cross misused the $500 millions it raised from a willing public for its supposed relief after the Haiti earthquake of 2010, you would pretty much appreciate what the United Nations has accomplished when it comes to its relief efforts; especially of refugees in war ravaged regions.

Today’s United Nations excel at helping refugees and providing essential services to third world countries, but fails miserably, because of its structure, to provide the world the security it demands. Breaking the U.N. into two entities will actually contribute meeting our needs, which is why the United States and its allies should dissolve their membership at the U.N.

All those countries who refuse to join the new entity must look somewhere else for assistance.

Critics of this scheme might allude to a vacuum China might exploit to deliver aid when the U.S. no longer can or want to under the United nations banner. However, for those who follow China closely, know that the Chinese Government already provides much assistance in the form of infrastructure building in Africa and elsewhere. It’s a ghost vacuum at best if the U.S. abandons the U.N. to form a new entity.

Break the United Nations into two entities because its present form is incapable of contributing much to the security of the world. Besides its bloated bureaucracy, the body has become a driver of terror because of its veto system.
