Punditry StaffThe health ministry in Gaza just announced that the civilian death toll has exceeded 30,000 Palestinians in 145 days of war split between civilians and combatants, with civilians accounting for approximately 70% of all casualties. This is an average of over 200 Palestinian casualties a day, of which 145 are women and children.
There are so many undocumented horror stories of Israeli terror against the civilians of Gaza, we do not know where to start. Maybe the latest CNN investigation over the deliberate murder of the Abu Jibba family, or the tragic Hind Rajab story are starting points.
Either way you slice the Israeli onslaught on Gaza, buried under the rubble are thousands of stories of the horrors Israeli forces perpetrated against the innocent civilians they had very little regard for their lives.
The Israeli leadership has turned into jungle animals who are destroying human life for the sheer pleasure of it.
AN ANIMALISTIC ABSURDITY OF VIOLENCE
It’s the absurdity of the violence Israel is committing against the people of Gaza to avenge Hamas October 7 attack that is catching Israel off balance. There is no doubt that the world is rejecting the Netanyahu’s government sorry excuses for abandoning Israel’s moral compass.
As for Hamas, there is no love lost for those religious zealots, even though, as per the interpretation of international law, they have as much a right as any other people to fight back to free themselves from oppression. But the Palestinian people should hold accountable whoever miscalculated the costs of their October 7 attack. No excuse under the sun should escape the scrutiny for their day of reckoning.
Gaza, at its core, represents a war by white Europeans against brown Middle Eastern people. The top three men in the Israeli cabinet all have European roots. Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant both hail from Poland, while Benny Gantz comes from Hungary. For white Europeans to claim the lands of Palestine as theirs flies in the face of any laws protecting humankind.
Many Palestinians want to coexist with Israel with its pre-1967 borders, but the problem is that building new illegal settlements shows Israel has zero interest in that formula. What else could the Palestinians do but resist to force Israel to abide by international law and the many U.N. resolutions it has been ignoring since 1948?
When you kill over 100 people waiting for food, Israel has reached the firmament in its level of violence and disregard for human lives. We are no longer dealing with human beings. The Israeli leadership has turned into jungle animals who are destroying human life for the sheer pleasure of it.
Meanwhile, Biden and his cohorts in Europe think this is normal.
