Economic Power is the Invisible Elephant in the Room

Economic Power is the Invisible Elephant in the Room

People talk about civil rights, police brutality, systematic racism, income inequalities as if solving them would solve the ills of our society. When in fact, they are nothing but distractions. They are blinders to fog the big picture, which is that economic power is what really matters the most. Economic power is the invisible elephant in the room, something the White Supremacists have reserved for themselves ever since the founding of this country.

With an even economic power playing field, the minorities would dispose of all the ills many suffer from today; such as racism, police brutality, and income inequality. But that domain of real power is off limits to anyone but the white power in this country.

The hungrier the blacks in this country become, many working two or three jobs to make ends meet, the less likely they have the time to pay attention to politics, or vote to remove the cancer within.

NOT EVEN $15 AN HOUR

White Supremacists are so concentrated on denying economic powers to the middle class and those living at the bottom of the scale that they are resisting the $15 an hour minimum wage. Despite the fact the Federal Government and the States would recoup a big portion of the $15 in the form of taxes.

Grant you that someone making $15 an hour will never compete with a billionaire in political peddling and influence, but this extra money will afford the taxpayers better living conditions, which may complicate the White Supremacists calculus because the hungrier they are, the less they would be willing to exercise their civic duties such as voting, volunteering, and grassroots activities. The hungrier the blacks in this country become, many working two or three jobs to make ends meet, the less likely they have the time to pay attention to politics, or vote to remove the cancer within.

That’s the real reason why Republicans are resisting the $15 an hour; in addition to lobbying by big corporations employing many low wage earners.

When was the last time you observed a young black entrepreneur become a billionaire from the merits of the technology or the invention they created? Not because they can’t, but because white money only backs white power. That is the tragedy of American capitalism. The inequity stares us in the eye everyday, and like the law often only applies to the poor, capitalism only benefits the white people in this country.

They [Republicans] have become the party of violent marauders and domestic terrorists trying to install Neo-fascist nationalists just as Hitler did in Germany in 1933 or Mussolini did in Italy in 1919.

ECONOMIC POWER IS THE INVISIBLE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

After the Insurrection of Donald Trump, it is obvious to all that we have a two-party system only one of which is embracing democracy. The other party, the Republicans, will stop at nothing to destroy the system if they believe their white power will no longer rule. They have become the party of violent marauders and domestic terrorists trying to install Neo-fascist nationalists just as Hitler did in Germany in 1933 or Mussolini did in Italy in 1919.

These are not the principles I signed-up for when I voted Republican for so many years. Small government, and all. However, Donald Trump, in the last four years, opened the Pandora’s box of hate and bigotry that percolated underneath. Instead of watching courageous Republicans deny him the possibility of breaking this country apart. I watched, with horror, the majority of the Republicans embrace Trump’s racism and bigotry. With the exception of the very few brave ones who voted to impeach Donald Trump.

Just a thought. Could we apply the GameShop model to support these Republicans with our money to defeat Trump and his cronies in Congress? There are more liberals and wise conservatives in this country than there are White Supremacists and racist bigots. Something to think about to save this nation. Democrats and disillusioned Republicans come together to slaughter the cancer within.

If you think Trump and McCarthy did not discuss starting another insurrection, then I have a million acres to sell you on Mars for $1.

FEAR OF LOSING THEIR ECONOMIC POWERS

Undoubtedly, the real reason behind the behavior of the Republicans is their fear of losing their economic power now that they have lost their political powers to Catholics and Jews. All those meetings between Trump and McCarthy, or the refusal to indict their own for advocating violence is another Trumpian “Stand back and stand by“.

Republicans cannot live with losing power to a Catholic let alone possibly sharing their economic powers with the rest of the country. To include the blacks they would prefer to starve or lynch, but not before first denying them the dignity of earning $15 an hour.
