Punditry StaffThere is a video circulating on social media (you can also watch it below), which demonstrates what wisdom in the face of tragedy looks and sounds like. It’s a speech that Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) delivered on the Senate floor expressing his views with regard to the raging Israel-Hamas war. This is how Senator Ossoff shamed Biden by showing him the way to deal with Israeli extremist leaders threatening the interests of the U.S.
The speech shines a spotlight on President Biden’s lack of good judgment, as he refuses to maneuver an international minefield by taking the easy way out without thinking through the consequences of his actions.
By letting Israel kill possibly tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians, Biden has lost all political capital, which is a powerful reminder of how consequential, to the region and U.S. interests, his decision to support Netanyahu’s terror has become. A foregone conclusion as well is how damaging his policy to U.S. standing on the world stage.
After you hear the Senator’s 9-minute great speech, Biden’s moral clarity comes across as hazy, and foggy. Or nonexistent at all. Senator Ossoff should have been our President during these trying times, not Biden.
In short, the speech that Senator Ossoff delivered made Joe Biden look like a child who does not know what he is doing.
MORAL FAILURE
In essence, Senator Ossoff called Biden’s policy of letting an extremist government in Israel loose on innocent Palestinians a “moral failure”. And rightly so. This is the first time that any Democrat made Biden look so small without ever insulting him. It shows how sophisticated and intelligent Ossoff is as compared to a President who dived, head-first, in the shallow waters of a Middle East cesspool.
Everyone knows that Biden takes his time to think through his policies. Ukraine is the perfect example, as he agonized over sending the country effective weapons to defend itself from Russian aggression. But, in this instance, Biden simply jumped in the pool. Without thinking through the consequences of unmitigated support for a violent Netanyahu intent on killing as many Palestinians as he could.
Biden will pay a dear price for this unwise and rushed step. At the ballots In 2024.
In short, the speech that Senator Ossoff delivered made Joe Biden look like a child who does not know what he is doing. Bravo Senator. You should have been our President during this difficult time in our history.
Senator, please challenge Biden.
