New Demographics May Place Country in Jeopardy

Many Americans are still digesting the new census data the Census Bureau published last Thursday. To some, the decline in numbers of the white race by 8.6% is a welcomed sign as it may force the political elite to reconsider the means by which they achieve and retain power. To others, like John Blake of CNN, the new demographics may place country in jeopardy. It could mean a new dawn of violence for the political all-white elite for the simple goal of retaining power at all costs.

If you have followed carefully our politics since January 2021, then you might give Blake the benefit of the doubt. We tend to agree with him, given our recent history and the culture wars the GOP continues to wage.

Blake writes:

The insurrection was just a preview of things to come if the white leadership in this country, like the Freedom Caucus in the House, decides it will never relinquish power. We might as well kiss our democracy goodbye if these racist fascist white supremacist men are permitted to run the country to the ground to preserve their power. In fact, we might as well call them the Fascist Caucus.

We must brace ourselves for the worst if we don’t pass new laws to prosecute domestic terrorists the way we prosecuted foreign terrorists

ONLY CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS

The majority of the white people in this country are accepting of diversity and the sharing of power among all Americans. After all, without their votes, President Barack Obama would have never won. Twice.

The problem rests with the conservative Republicans, mostly White Anglo-Saxon Protestants, and mostly racist white supremacists who believe this is their country. They believe everyone else is just a visitor. Do watch again this segment from the movie “The Good Shepherd”.

There is no reason to hope anything good will come out of the angry whites adamant about not sharing the country. Trump gave us a glimpse of what they are capable of in modern America, and the plight of Native Americans and slavery gave us a glimpse of what they are capable of doing in the past. So, we must brace ourselves for the worst if we don’t pass new laws to prosecute domestic terrorists the way we prosecuted foreign terrorists; in addition to indicting and locking Donald Trump in some prison. He is their poster boy and as long as he is free, they are all free to plot for more violence.

Personally, we do not believe Joe Biden understands Trump very well. From one white man to another, Biden may think it is too risky for his career and future to throw Trump in prison.

But instead of accusing the communist agitators as Hitler did, some WASPs would accuse the blacks in this country and use their protests as an excuse to decimate the Constitution.

TODAY’S CULTURE WARS ARE PREPARATORY

In furtherance of the notion that the conservative Republicans would initiate the spark to violence, one has only to watch how they all keep dividing this country along such benign lines as wearing a mask, or receiving vaccinations. The lowest of hanging fruits is causing such culture wars to make one wonder how easy it is to start a real war. Just imagine what it would take to provoke a violent uprising today in the name of racial superiority and power.

Barring those Republicans who impeached Donald Trump, like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, there is not one White Anglo-Saxon Protestant leader who is calling for inclusionary politics. They tow Trump’s line because, like him, they are all racist white supremacists who will break down our democratic institutions, just as they supported the insurrection of January 6. They are all about white power.

Everyone is concerned about voting rights, multi-trillion dollar laws to help the middle class and the defenseless. But no news media outlet seems to be too concerned about Trump plotting another fascist coup. Nor are we concerned about the Freedom Caucus and the white Evangelicals conspiring for a “Reichstag fire” excuse that would usher martial laws and the perpetuity of the conservative Republicans controlling America.

But instead of accusing the communist agitators as Hitler did, some WASPs would accuse the blacks in this country and use their protests as an excuse to decimate the Constitution. It is quite easy, in fact. All the Freedom Caucus needs to do is create another George Floyd moment.
