Punditry StaffWhen you consider what has happened since October 7, one cannot but come to the same conclusion: There is no difference between Hamas and the IDF. Except that Hamas is violently fighting for the freedom and dignity of its people suffering under the terror of an occupier army, and the IDF is a violent colonizer with all the accoutrements of extreme terror one expects.
For its part, Israel has been trying for 70 years to dispel the notion of it is an occupier. How? By claiming that God gave the Israelites Palestine. Their God, not the Palestinian one.
The same goes for the religious Israeli settlers, who are stealing Palestinian lands and homes every day in plain sight and in violation of international Law. To explain better the difference between the two religions on opposite sides, here is one sentence that summarizes fully the conflict: One religion is taking lives to steal lands, and the other is defending its lives to protect their lands.
At the end of the day, it’s all about freedom from colonization, and not the right to exist.
IF ISRAEL DID NOT EXIST IN THE MIDDLE EAST
Folks, if Israel did not exist, Hamas would not exist either. If Israel did not exist, ISIS and al-Qaeda would not exist either. We would have never suffered on 9/11 if Israel did not exist in the Middle East. Dwell on that for a bit. Ruminate on that thought to grasp how harmful Israel has been to U.S. interests.
All the violence and terror of the Middle East is emanating from Israeli existence on Palestinian lands. Had Israel existed on German soil, as it should have, the Middle East would be a quiet and prosperous region. And over 14,000 Palestinian children would be alive. In addition to 1,200 Israelis that Hamas killed on October 7 who would be skiing in Austria today.
All this violence and terror is the result of Israel stealing Palestine, and the Palestinians refusing to submit to Israeli thievery.
So, the difference between Hamas and the IDF is as little, or as big, as each side wants it. There is no zero-sum side here, but very much a zero-sum fence outsiders can sit on and engage in idle chatter.
At the end of the day, it’s all about freedom from colonization, and not the right to exist.
