Dnipro war crime or not, the west remains hesitant about supplying Ukraine with much more weapons, in sophistication or numbers, to kick Russia out of its territories. President Joe Biden remains a fearful leader who takes baby steps to avoid escalation when we should fully open the weapons spigot for Ukraine. The West holds the cards to counter any attempt at predicting Putin’s worst move with as damaging a move to unseat him and hold him accountable for war crimes.

Some analysts are predicting that if the West pushes Putin into a corner, he may retaliate by using tactical nuclear weapons on the battlefield. This is purely a planted White House notion, which embodies the very essence of Biden’s own psyche. If, for any reason, the White House takes this a step further by predicting the world’s response to such a Putin atrocity, Biden might just settle down and really open the weapons spigot for once and for all.

All the White House needs to do is play Chess with Putin, not Checkers.

As such, any hesitation, like weapon dribbling to Ukraine, is counter-productive. We are wasting precious time waiting for Russians to act against Putin.

USE NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND LOSE SEAT ON SECURITY COUNCIL

Should the United States and Europe escalate to seriously help Ukraine defeat Vladimir Putin and his Russian army, and, in return, Putin deploys tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine, the first thing that would happen on the world stage is that countries would unite to kick Russia out of the United Nations. This is almost guaranteed if Putin takes the first step in using nuclear weapons in a relatively small area on the battlefields of Ukraine. China would almost isolate herself as badly if it uses its own veto.

Such a move would end Vladimir Putin. With Russia out of the United Nations, Ukraine can start the process of indicting him as a war criminal. A decision that all U.N. countries would have to abide by.

Furthermore, the United Nations can also seek the strictest of sanctions against Russia that would be global in scope and purpose. Not that sanctions would work, mind you, but their very existence would isolate Russia permanently. Russia’s Putin, for all intended purposes, would earn a pariah status commensurate with ISIS, al-Qaeda, and the Taliban.

It is understandable if Biden wants to avoid Russia’s use of nuclear weapons. It is also understandable that Biden’s hesitation stems from his regard for human lives. Unfortunately, we are not dealing with people who have similar morality on the other side. This war is about killing the wolf before he eats you. It’s about taking Putin off the board to save the world.

As such, any hesitation, like weapon dribbling to Ukraine, is counter-productive. We are wasting precious time waiting for Russians to act against Putin.
