This is the sorry state of affairs of our democracy now under attack from every enemy around the world. Especially, when it comes to deciding whom we should elect as president using our own unique silicon valley technologies. As Russia helped Trump rise, China is about to bring him down judging from its trade wars tactics aimed at the U.S. economy.
The latest move by China to slap $75 Billion of new tariffs on U.S. goods is shaking our economic ground. Trump started his trade war with China the way he starts everything else. Like a hothead teenager who makes decisions based on instincts, and not on data and facts. Too late for him to back down. In 2018, Trump told the world “Trade wars are good, and easy to win“. Today, he is eating his bitter words as he lashes out with anger. Just like a teenager with no controls.

A strong U.S. economy plays in favor of Donald Trump. Any sign of weakness would expose him to losing in the 2020 elections. Not by the small margins we are accustomed to hold our breath for as we watch the returns from the final state and the final precinct, but in a horrific fashion that would make President Reagan win over Mondale in 1984 read like a Tom Clancy novel.
RUSSIA HELPED TRUMP RISE
There is no doubt in the mind of any American that our Intel communities are fighting back against Russian meddling into our own internal affairs. There is the defensive strategies to stop Russia, but we would be naive to think the U.S. is not going on the offensive with cyber weapons of its own. Are the anti-Putin protests in Moscow a sign of things to come? What else does the CIA and the NSA have up their sleeves that the American voter may never learn about to stop Putin from meddling again?
At one point, Russia was testing isolating its Internet connections from the rest of the world. To block any outside interference. Putin can afford such a move because Russia, after all, has so little influence outside its borders. None of its technologies has influence over the world the way ours do. Whatever technology or know how Putin has, he puts into good use to bully, blackmail, and occupy other countries. Without its nuclear arsenal, Russia is a third-world country that is as powerful as Kazakhstan.
EASY TO FOOL TRUMP
Many powerful politicians, Republicans and Democrats, know that Trump is not smart at all. In fact, it would be easy to fool him by encouraging some disastrous policy he would be clueless about its results. Especially when he is a mediocre businessman turned into a novice politician. Trump likes to boast about his deal making prowess, so why not help him start a trade war he thinks could end up with some showmanship on his part? A trade war with China Trump himself showed some encouraging inclinations to start during his campaign speeches in 2015 and 2016.

Anytime trump lashes out at somebody or something on Twitter, behind the scene are usually bad news, horrific numbers, or ugly facts. His latest target is Jerome Powell, Chairman of the Federal Reserve. For saying that the Federal Reserve has limited abilities to “counteract President Trump’s trade policies, which are stoking uncertainty and posing risks to the economic outlook.” as the New York Times puts it. Jerome Powell has become an enemy, just like the Chinese leader Chairman Xi.

PAYBACK TIME
Is it possible that Washington is paying back Trump, in spades, for his continued attacks on powerful people? By letting his trade wars take us to a cliff? No one deserves his bad mouth, undignified rhetoric, or some of his policy positions. Especially not the Syrian immigrants escaping the Assad terror he blocked from entering the U.S.
As Russia helped this joker to rise to power, it seems China is about to bring him down. Not that we wish for either to happen, but the only good thing about Trump is his policy towards Iran and his friendliness to Israel. Everything else stinks to high heaven. That is hardly good enough to vote for him again.
