The Afghan People Prefer the Taliban to the United States

A President makes a decision to abandon a country America occupied and all hell breaks loose. Beyond decimating al-Qaida in every Muslim country, I don’t want anyone to convince me it is about our interests because this old sarcastic logic has long expired. Once we killed Osama Bin Laden, how could the lives of our soldiers be worth flexing our muscles in countries we invaded against their will? Where are our interests when it comes to protecting our sons and daughters from harm’s way? I have news for you, the Afghan people prefer the Taliban to the United States. We are the enemy, not the Taliban.

The Taliban are horrible, primitive people. But so are the Iranians who keep attacking us. How about invading Iran? Incidentally, it was al-Qaida that attacked us on 9/11. Not the Taliban.

We have no business trying to instill our culture and our beliefs unto people that reject both. We did the same thing when we schooled native Indians to Americanize them, and now we are trying to Americanize the whole world. They don’t want to. They don’t want us. When will our politicians get it?

The day we killed Osama Bin Laden was the day we should have left Afghanistan. Period.

Why don’t we object to Islam allowing men to practice polygamy if we are so inclined to protecting the rights of women?

DEMONIZE TO JUSTIFY

If you ask the Afghan people, the majority accept the Taliban as their legitimate leaders. Something we continue to refuse to reckon with. Something the US media is reluctant to mention because it is part and parcel of demonizing countries or entities to justify an invasion.

Yes, we feel for the women who want freedom but the majority of Afghan women are content to wear a burka and obediently follow their husbands. Why don’t we object to Islam allowing men to practice polygamy if we are so inclined to protecting the rights of women? Because it was not and never will be about women’s rights. Only the naive believe this spin. It is about the lies our politicians keep weaving as they succumb to the lobbying of private contractors demanding we spend precious dollars Americans need at home.

We are out of Afghanistan and we should be. Look at the costs the British public has to pay for its colonization of India. I am not anti-immigration but when a country invades another, there will always be lingering problems to impact both the invader and the invaded. The problems we have caused in overstaying in Afghanistan will come back to bite us even more in the future.

We demonized Idi Amin of Uganda when his people loved him. We are doing the same in Afghanistan. The Afghan people prefer the Taliban to the rule of a foreign country like the United States whose culture and traditions are the antithesis to theirs.

Dwell on this reality for a moment. It may clarify why the Taliban won back their country so fast.

Meanwhile, we should fly over to the U.S. all 86,000 Afghan who helped us during our 20-year war. Abandoning our allies and friends has immense consequences.

We saved the Iraqis from their butcher Saddam and how did they pay us? By allying themselves with our enemy Iran. They are all ungrateful bastards, and we should not spend a dime to save anyone from themselves.

FORGET THE WORLD, AMERICA NEEDS TO SAVE AMERICA

After 20 years of occupation, countless precious lives and limbs, and one trillion dollars that could have helped save our shrinking middle class, America is ready to invest in America. Forget helping the world. We saved the Iraqis from their butcher Saddam and how did they pay us? By allying themselves with our enemy Iran. They are all ungrateful bastards, and we should not spend a dime to save anyone from themselves.

From Lebanon to Tajikistan, they mostly want us defeated or dead. We need to label this whole region “Off Limits”. None of these people deserve our tax money, the lives of our brave soldiers, or our freedom agenda. Let the whole region rot until they learn to rule themselves.

Both Trump and Biden were right to pull us out of Afghanistan. Yes, maybe the haste was responsible for the fiasco, but no army in the world prepares for a defeat and a retreat the way they prepare for an offensive. We simply suck at retreating. Military commanders do not know how to plan an exit because it’s against their instinctive mindset.

As for the Taliban’s shocking and swift takeover of the country, that’s what happens when you are more popular than the puppet government a Christian country installed in Muslim Kabul.

As for the 86,000 Afghans we left behind after helping the United States, some in the U.S. military think this is fine by them. They are the ones who also wanted a wall built on our southern borders with Mexico, and who have cheered on the sideline the insurrection of January 6.

So why are we shocked?
