Biden is throwing trillions of dollars at the middle class and the impoverished to adjust for the 40 years of the trickle-down, deregulated Reaganomics that decimated their ranks, and the Republicans are stoking the fires of a culture war to stop the bleeding.
With no answer to Biden’s FDR mass appeal, the GOP is using COVID vaccinations to respond to Biden by claiming it’s about their freedom and government control. In addition to the wearing of masks. But with the Delta variant wreaking havoc in 50 states, the GOP message Tucker Carlson has adopted as his central theme may not be sticking at all.
Even the least educated of the Trump supporters are realizing that saving oneself from COVID does not trample on one’s freedom. Health and freedom rarely intersect. They are realizing that their lives could be on the line even if the odds of dying are low.

FREEDOM AND GOVERNMENT CONTROL
How does wearing a mask control you? Does wearing a watch control you? Or how does a vaccine limit your freedom? Does a polio vaccine make you un-free? These are questions Fox News viewers never ask. They obediently listen to one anchorman or another make these shallow claims and that’s all it takes to influence their thinking. It is easy to play a chess player who quits after one move. Not asking follow-up questions in life is equivalent to quitting on life.

However, the GOP knows their voters almost never question their claims. They simply believe and repeat like parrots what their leaders tell them.
Take, for example, what Mike Pence said while visiting Iowa:
None of these accusations he leveled are true. Not even higher taxes for the rich, which they are all lobbying hard to avoid. Biden is on record repeating that defunding the police is a non-starter. The same goes for each other claim. Roe vs. Wade provides the opportunity for women to seek abortion since SCOTUS made it law in 1973. How many Trump supporters know this?
The point is that the Trump voters are gullible. They will repeat these claims verbatim without ever questioning their truthfulness. To start and maintain a culture war is a child’s play with voters like these.
Trump harnessed the anger of the middle class to storm the Capitol, and Biden is harnessing the anger to enlarge the base of the Democratic Party through economic largesse.
WHY BIDEN IS NOT CONCERNED ABOUT VOTING RIGHTS
President Biden’s economic policy has been tailored to appease the Trump angry white voters. Those who have suffered from the US government policies of passivity towards greedy big businesses, which saw their financial securities hit rock bottom. For every dollar big business sucks out of the system to keep afloat their corporate socialist agenda, or for not paying taxes, the government has to find that dollar somewhere else. And it is almost always in the same place: Tax the middle class.
At the same time, the greed of corporate America has reached new levels as corporations find new ways and enact new laws to take a larger piece of the middle class earnings. This is resulting in much anxiety and anger in America. People can no longer afford the basics of life like rent, child care, healthcare, and education because there has been a collective onslaught on their economic well-being, which deprived them from a normal life. All the while, the rich are doing better every year without any hick-ups.
This historical moment of immense economic distress has led the President to wager his presidency on saving the middle class and small business, which he hopes will have an impact on GOP voters come next election cycles. Trump harnessed the anger of the middle class to storm the Capitol, and Biden is harnessing the same anger to enlarge the base of the Democratic Party through economic largesse. This is why Mike Pence and others are touring the country and spreading untruths. Pence is trying to stop the bleeding.
This also explains why Joe Biden has been neglecting the voting rights issue.
