Punditry StaffI am here to propose a new law, which I will dub the Freedom to Drink and Drive. If 50% of the American people in this country feel that they are free not to get vaccinated to protect the other 50%, then, by golly, we should extend that freedom to the notion that we can also be free to drink and drive too. Killing someone through COVID because one refuses the vaccination is the same as killing someone in a car accident after consuming a large quantity of alcohol. Both are intentional and both should be either legal or illegal.
The logic of the Republicans with regard to COVID vaccination has become an IQ test of sort.
What is the difference between causing death through alcohol consumption or through spreading COVID?
NO MORE INCENTIVES. TIME TO PASS NEW LAWS.
Our government has done all it can to save us from the deadly COVID pandemic. It closed down the economy to keep us safe. It paid tens of billions of dollars to drug manufacturers in a race to find the antidote to COVID. Further, it distributed an insane amount of money to all sectors of our society and economy to save companies and people from financial ruin. Nothing was too daring and nothing was too challenging.
Then the state governments, after dolling out free doses over the last 8 months, decided to financially incentivize the hesitant through a lottery system. It worked on few but half the country, mostly people who voted for Trump, remain adamant about their freedom not to get vaccinated or to mask up.
The Delta variant has played a role in the spike of new vaccinations over the last 10 days, but thanks to the Republican Governors, like DeSantis of Florida, the country remains at high risk of the spread of COVID again to the point of shuttering the economy again. The unvaccinated continue to account for 99% of today’s COVID deaths.
It is time for Congress to enact new laws to penalize financially the unvaccinated. Exactly like we penalize those who drink and drive. With that scenario, jail time should be mandatory if the unvaccinated keep refusing to abide by the new law. They are not only risking their lives, but those of others too.

The only way to stop them [The unvaccinated] from spreading the virus is to penalize them heavily for breaking the new law.
THEY WILL NEVER VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT
A message to all the Democrats in our government today. Stop hoping the dumb Trump followers might vote for the Democrats one day. It is not going to happen. If they cannot figure out that vaccines can save lives, they will never figure out where their best interests lie. It is that simple folks.
Furthermore, President Biden is doing his best to heal the wounds of this country by bringing us all back together to think as Americans, and not as Trumpists or Bidenists. Against a tide of GOP leaders who continue to disseminate lies and misinformation while sparking sinister cultural wars.
To think, for a moment, that the Trump voters are going to suddenly realize their folly is foolish of us. The only way to stop them from spreading the virus is to penalize them heavily for breaking the new law.
There is a point in time when we all have to quit on reasoning with the unvaccinated. That time has come because around the corner might lurk an even deadlier mutant of COVID that could be disastrous for humanity. And to think that many in the third world are begging the United States for free COVID vaccines while the entitled in this country snub their nose at what could save their lives is reason enough to quit on them.
We need to start opening our jails and prisons to welcome their sorry asses.
