Senator Raphael Warnock win in Georgia is providing ample evidence not only of the toxicity of Donald Trump, after deceiving the American people for so long, but it also sends a signal to the GOP leadership with regard to the futility of threading the Trump needle whereby it ignores Trump’s illegal behavior while attempting to retain his voters. Trumps’ voters will go where he goes, but a larger audience, fed-up with GOP politics ignoring Trump’s criminal enterprise, is going in the opposite direction.

The question that most GOP strategists seem to keep ignoring is: When will the GOP fully and completely cut the Trump bait? How long before the GOP realizes that Trump and his voters are one inseparable entity that is poisoning the well for the larger voter base the GOP keeps thinking it is not smart enough to see through their deceptive practices.

Maybe, the GOP may finally realize it has to get off the Trump train in the next few weeks or so. They won the House through mostly gerrymandering, and now they lost the Senate because of Trump. Directly and irrefutably because of Trump’s personae and his choice of backing low-quality candidates.

To all those who believe Trump winning increases the chances of more wins for the Democrats, we want you to stop it.

THE LONGER HE STAYS, THE WORST IT WILL GET

The longer Trump keeps inserting himself as the GOP head of the party, the worst it is going to get for the Republicans. One would expect the response to come from either Mike Pence or Ron DeSantis soon. There are going to be many GOP donors and strategists recommending for either man to enter the ring as soon as possible to dilute the Trump pro-Nazi impact on the bad turn the Republican Party has taken after the walloping results of the mid-term elections.

A central figure challenging Trump directly is the only arrow the GOP has left in its quiver. Metastasizing support for a secondary candidate challenging Trump might just become the beginning of the end of Donald Trump as a viable political entity. Surely, someone must see this.

Will Trump throw a tantrum? You know he will. Should the media cover his child-like outbursts? Absolutely not. Ignoring the racism and bigotry of Donald Trump would be the best thing for the country. Let him make the mistake of denigrating the Constitution again or even calling for another insurrection just to get the media’s attention because he cannot help himself. It will only sink him deeper in his own s***hole.

To all those who believe Trump winning increases the chances of more wins for the Democrats, we want you to stop it. Indirectly, you are harming the country by perpetuating everything Trump represents to include Antisemitism and racism. One cannot encourage selfishly what damages the fabric of a great nation.

It may also be the year where the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert might simply become as inconsequential as two flies on a corpse.

SHALL WE?

Is there a moment of “shall we?” when all the Republicans decide to come out against Donald Trump as their leader and as a viable 2024 candidate? It’s hard not to think this might finally be in the work after losing even more seats in the Senate the Party of an unpopular President presides over. The GOP has no more choices and its leadership can no longer afford to play the hide and seek game where it hides from Trump while seeking his voters.

It is highly likely that with help from Mitch McConnell, the GOP is going to realize the futility of threading the Trump needle in the face of voter revolt. It is highly likely that in 2023, we will witness a year of politics like none we have ever experienced in this country before. All the daggers are going to come out simultaneously and openly.

It may also be the year where the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert might simply become as inconsequential as two flies on a corpse. Would that not be just wonderful?

A sight that no student of history should miss.
