The George Santos Wheel of Justice

The George Santos Wheel of Justice

Like the rudder of a super oil tanker, the U.S. Government’s Department of Justice has slowly turned its George Santos wheel of justice into motion by criminally charging the serial liar from New York’s 3rd district. The media won’t take long before it finds out about the sources of his $700,000 campaign loan, which he used to lie and deceive his voters. Whatever crimes he has committed for the DOJ to charge him must be serious enough to kill his career. Unless, of course, the Republican Party thinks he is too valuable a vote in Congress to let go of him.

The fact that his indictment has been sealed tells us that it may involve other people the Department of Justice did not want to smear their names publicly. Eventually, we believe the media will get hold of all the details. We will, sooner than later, find out the whole story of how and who funded the George Santos tragedy.

Let us hope the criminality of George Santos finally catches up with him.

AN INVALUABLE REPUBLICAN ASSET

There are three good reasons the Republican Party is holding on to George Santos for dear life.

First and foremost, he is a Republican Representative from a majority-democratic State of New York. That is a feather in the Republican political cap because Santos is now an anchor and a beachfront for more in-road conquest of the liberal State.

Secondly, George Santos is a Republican voice in a thin GOP majority-held Congress. This means his vote is quite valuable. One that Speaker McCarthy call ill-afford to lose. So, regardless of who Santos is and the fraud he represents, the Republican Party sees him as a vote, and not a fraud. It’s a political reality.

Thirdly, George Santos is a member of the LGBTQ community. The same community many Republicans are coming after with their culture wars, and no one represents this truth more than Benito DeSantis, the Governor of Florida. George Santos is the Tim Scott of the Republican Party, as the GOP wages a war against African-Americans and the LGBTQ voters openly but claims the opposite by showing off, among their ranks, the very same people they are dedicating much of their time to hate and scorn.

All the three reasons above provide George Santos with a political shield for the moment. Only when the GOP discovers that Santos, as an asset, has turned into a liability, will the leadership take the necessary steps to oust him from Congress. But, we don’t see this happening anytime soon.

Let us hope the criminality of George Santos finally catches up with him.
