According to the dire warnings of Josh Silver of Represent.us, the Republicans are doing what they do best: Suppress voters.
Silver writes in a private email he sent around:

NO SHAME, NO HONOR, JUST PLAIN DISGRACE
In the last four years, I have come to realize something about some of the Republicans that evaded me the last 45 years of following U.S. politics. These morons have no shame, no honor, and no self-respect. Especially the extremist Evangelicals they call themselves the disciples of Jesus. Honestly, if Jesus wanted his followers to cheat, lie, and steal, he would not have created Christianity. A cult would have suffice.
I am reminded of our Framers and the historical perspective we read about their demeanor as leaders that is accepted universally. One thing that stands out is how honorable these men were. Back then, honor meant something. It was the single virtue that separated man from beast, and Christians from Pagans. Today, however, honor seems to have become a non-existent virtue many trample upon to serve their narrow interests. Honor is no longer a universal pursuit for men and women to value above all else. Without any doubt, honor in our age has become an after thought and a relic of past times when men stood tall. Today’s politicians are midgets compared to the giants of the past.
So, as the GOP that the dishonorable white power represents in this country try to steal another election in 2022, it is important that we put to rest the notion that gerrymandering and redistricting are efficient tools of voter suppression. This means that voter outreach and voter turn-outs have to exceed our expectations. Every time and every year until those cheaters give up their shenanigans and accept the inevitable. What is the inevitable? America belongs to all of us, not just the white few who control it today.

AMERICA KEEPS SPIRALING DOWNWARD
That’s not the America I signed up for. It is not the America that boasts the Statute of Liberty with all its virtuous calls for the helpless masses. Its downward spiral on all fronts be it political, economical or societal is the result of dishonorable men running the country to the ground with their greed. In the 70’s, a hospital bill, whether paid by patients or insurance, was the same for both. Today, depending on who pays it, the same services are 10 times more expensive if a consumer is under obligation to pay. What is this but the decline of an empire as it destroys its own people?
The white men trying to retain all the powers to themselves is just another example of disenfranchisement. Why are they not willing to share? Because they want to charge the masses 10 times the hospital bills. And damn is the country or its people.
The GOP actions are not sustainable. In fact, there is enough anger in all four corners of the country that could explode into a revolution against their politics and their politicians. So, for those decrying socialism, which are the same ones charging you 10 times the hospital bill, be careful what you don’t wish for. If you keep trying to lie, cheat, and steal from the masses, the model will only lead to something far more sinister than anyone expects.
And for those who think that as long as the stock market is doing great, all is well, allow me to explain the bubble theory.

No apologies for my outright pessimistic post. Many people have had enough of the white old men who don’t seem to care whether America prospers or not. All they care about is their power and milking the masses for all their worth.
And for those who think that as long as the stock market is doing great, all is well, allow me to explain the bubble theory. All our paper assets can disappear in one day. Literally.
