Elections are a time for the nation to come together and choose the leaders that will make the greatest impact on our communities. However, sometimes the choices we make can be a little bit spooky. From boogeymen to politicians, the monsters we elect can have an impact that lasts for years to come. Especially when it comes to gun violence now reaching epidemic level.

In that regard, there are no bigger monsters than the Governor of the State of Texas Greg Abbott and the Governor of the State of Florida Ron DeSantis. Both proponents of policies to sell as many guns as possible to as many Americans as they can.

Electing Monsters: A Spooky Tale of Politics

There is just something about the word “politics” that can send shivers down one’s spine. With election season comes the fear of what might happen if we elect the “wrong” candidate who lies to us. We all have our own personal boogeymen, and sometimes they can be found on the ballot, even if we do not recognize them at first.

The monsters we elect can haunt us for years to come, but it is our responsibility to select wisely, and there are two particular states, Texas and Florida, in which our choices may have an impact on future gun violence. Why those two states? Because their Governors are the biggest monsters we know about and who are facilitating the murder of our children in schools.

With more than 400 million guns circulating, the future of gun violence is looking brighter than ever! From assault rifles to handguns, there are so many options for people to choose from when it comes to committing acts of violence. And with the rise of 3D printing, people can now create their own guns from the comfort of their own home!

But it’s not just the quantity of guns that’s alarming, it’s also the quality. With advancements in technology, guns are becoming more powerful and accurate than ever before. And with the manufacturing of assault rifles, like the AR-15, now accounting for 25% of all gun sales, committing acts of violence has never been easier.

Consider this stat: In the first four months of 2023, the United States has already recorded 180 mass shootings. That’s 1.5 mass shooting a day.

So, get ready to live in a world where guns are more prevalent and more deadly than ever before. Thanks to the monsters we elect and who are often impervious to our concerns.

Are You Ready? The Next Generation of Gun Violence is Here!

The next generation of gun violence is here, and it’s more dangerous than ever! This is why we must choose well whom we elect as our Representatives and Governors.

When we vote for a candidate, we are essentially giving them the keys to our future. It is important to select someone who will make decisions that align with our values and beliefs.

The result, today, is that any child of any race, gender, or religion has become the target of this violence. This is no longer about people of color paying the ultimate price in their own communities. We have reached a point where white Christian children in the Republican-controlled State of Tennessee are being murdered in cold blood by people with easy access to high-powered, rapid-firing guns. Thanks to GOP Governors pushing for more gun sales.

Next time you vote, consider the consequences of voting for GOP candidates pushing gun violence on our children.

We leave you with a compelling video of Fred Gutenberg, whose 14-year-old daughter Jaime died in the Parkland massacre of 2018. Powerful enough to help Americans move the needle on electing the right virtuous leaders in the future.
