The Principles of an Unprincipled Mitch McConnell

If you want to see a political Houdini in action flipping on ideology and issues, then watch Mitch McConnell. He is the ultimate political operative you will never figure out, never pin down, and never gauge. Understand Mitch McConnell at your own peril because this scorpion will sting you whether to defend itself or for the fun of it. The principles of an unprincipled Mitch McConnell are out in the open; and even though he may not realize it, it sheds a new light on this man America should never learn to trust.

Calling McConnell Houdini is not intended to complement him. The political maneuvers we watched him display are not only exhausting to understand, but they, literally, force you to lose hope in humanity. This is the impact of Mitch McConnell has on U.S. politics.

Personally, I believe there is something very wrong in how this man thinks and/or behaves. Something that borders on madness, but which look like political acts of contortion to the normal people analyzing him.

Hypocrisy is Mitch McConnell’s middle name. To understand his actions, you must have the same twisted mind he has.

THINK ABOUT HIS ACTIONS SINCE JANUARY 6

If you want to understand the illogical behavior of Mitch McConnell, one needs to compare it to a real life event. Say you parked your car illegally, and just as a policeman was about to write you a ticket, he lets you go. Then, he catches you an hour later near your home to write you the same ticket for your parking trespass. Come court date to defend your innocence, the same policeman stands in front of the judge to tell him you were innocent and he should not have written that ticket, after which a news reporter interviews him saying that you were culpable and he did the right thing to write you a ticket after-the-act.

Do you see how twisted and illogical Mitch McConnell has been behaving? Talk about a man with no principles.

This is what Mitch McConnell did. After the House impeached the President, he refused to initiate a Senate trial, then claimed later that constitutionally speaking, the Senate had no right to convict Trump because he was out of office.

Later, he voted against conviction, then convicted him publicly. Catch the irony? Oh, and by the way, according to McConnell, damn the Constitution. Hypocrisy is Mitch McConnell’s middle name. To agree with his actions, you must have the same twisted mind he has.

Family political differences are not new, but for his daughters to support exactly the opposite of what McConnell supports says a lot about his past.

WHAT ABOUT MCCONNELL’S CHILDHOOD AND FAMILY?

Why do we elect unprincipled and even sick people to the Senate? Do we know how McConnell’s father treated him? Was he an abused child? It looks like it watching him twist in the wind like an orphaned leaf not knowing what his true beliefs were.

What we know for sure is that his three daughters may hate him. In a New Yorker piece, author Jane Mayer wrote:

McConnell also appears to have lost the political support of his three daughters. The youngest, Porter, is a progressive activist who is the campaign director for Take On Wall Street, a coalition of labor unions and nonprofit groups which advocates against the “predatory economic power” of “banks and billionaires.” One of its targets has been Stephen Schwarzman, the chairman and C.E.O. of the Blackstone Group, who, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, has, since 2016, donated nearly thirty million dollars to campaigns and super PACs aligned with McConnell. Last year, Take On Wall Street condemned Blackstone’s “detrimental behavior” and argued that the company’s campaign donations “cast a pall on candidates’ ethics.” Porter McConnell has also publicly criticized the Senate’s confirmation of Justice Kavanaugh, which her father considers one of his greatest achievements … The husband of McConnell’s middle daughter, Claire, has also criticized Kavanaugh online, and McConnell’s eldest daughter, Eleanor, is a registered Democrat.Jane Mayer - April 12, 2020

Family political differences are not new, but for his daughters to support exactly the opposite of what McConnell supports says a lot about his past.

Kentucky, you can do better than that. Stop sending what looks like horse manure instead of the pure breed you are so well-known for raising.
