The Secret People Behind the January 6 Insurrection

The January 6 Congressional committee investigating the events, the people, and the history behind the attack on our democracy has plenty to celebrate but also to worry about. Personally, I am afraid that when we investigate and we find the secret people behind the January 6 insurrection, our justice system will fail us again. Let’s face it, White Anglo-Saxon Protestants in America have little to fear from laws they wrote to target anyone else but themselves. And when the loopholes are not enough to save their skins, just like the infamous out-of-jail spontaneous card “It’s too big to fail”, we are going to witness a moment of “It’s too big to prosecute” once all the facts are exposed.

Yes, history would judge them, but they will roam free until the day they die. Rep. Mo Brooks has nothing to worry about. Just as Donald Trump has little to worry about. Considering how little effort President Joe Biden is exerting to save our voting rights, he will exert even less when it comes to indicting and prosecuting the snakes behind January 6. It’s in his DNA.

Our justice system is notoriously absent when catching the big fish that matter the most. The 2008 financial meltdown provides ample evidence to this truth.

WHO ARE THE CULPABLE?

From a Facebook post, which was deleted the next day, that Charles W. Herbster, the national chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Advisory Committee in the Trump administration posted, we know that these people attended several strategic meetings at the White House to plan January 6. The last meeting was January 5, 2021

  1. Donald Trump and his two sons
  2. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL)
  3. Michael Flynn, former National Security Advisor
  4. Peter Navarro, Outspoken Assistant to Donald Trump
  5. Corey Lewandowski, 2016 Trump campaign manager
  6. David Bossie, 2016 Trump deputy campaign manager
  7. Adam Piper, executive director of the Republican Attorneys General Association
  8. Rudy Giuliani, personal attorney to Donald Trump
  9. Kimberly Guilfoyle, girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr.
  10. Michael Lindell, Trump big donor and MyPillow CEO

Of the above, Navarro and Lindell have the capital to finance the January 6 terrorist attack. So does Donald Trump himself.

There may also be secret funders that never attended these meetings. The Wall Street Journal reported that Alex Jones and Julie Jenkins Fancelli paid $350,000 of the $500,000 funding. The WSJ wrote:

Mr. [Alex] Jones also helped arrange for Julie Jenkins Fancelli, a prominent donor to the Trump campaign and heiress to the Publix Super Markets Inc. chain, to commit about $300,000 through a top fundraising official for former President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign, according to organizers. Her money paid for the lion’s share of the roughly $500,000 rally at the Ellipse where Mr. Trump spoke. WSJ by By Shalini Ramachandran, Alexandra Berzon, and Rebecca Ballhaus - Feb. 1, 2021

However, as I said on many occasions, the culpable may walk free because justice is blind when it comes to white people of power. Our justice system is notoriously absent when catching the big fish that matter the most. The 2008 financial meltdown provides ample evidence to this truth.

My guess, it would be either Navarro or Lindell. Possibly both.

ONE OR TWO FALL GUYS

Then we may have people like Reps. Jim Jordan, Mo Brooks, and Sen. Josh Hawley implicated as behind-the-scene actors as well. Hopefully, Congress would act to throw them out if they had anything to do with January 6..

At the end of the day and after the Commission finishes its investigations, the Democrats and the Republicans may huddle secretly to designate one or two fall guys in order to bury the matter for good. Pelosi insisting it would be Donald Trump may or may not become a reality, unless Mitch McConnell thinks it’s the opportunity to bury the Trump legacy for good.

Even then, Trump may slip justice.

For the Democrats, the investigation in and by itself is enough even if they fail to indict the loser Trump to prevent future domestic terrorism, which is their real goal.

My guess, it would be either Navarro or Lindell. Possibly both.

I would be a bit surprised if all the attendees of the strategic meetings at the White House, prior to the insurrection, would face charges of sedition.

But then, I hope I am wrong.
