The Threats of a Russian Iranian Alliance

Does the Biden Administration understand the threats of a Russian Iranian alliance that may forge a nuclear menace of gargantuan proportions? Besides Russia buying the Kamikaze drones it is using to destroy Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, what else has Vladimir Putin promised Ayatollah Khamenei in return? Is anyone awake at the White House?

The international missteps of the Biden Administration keep piling up when it comes to prevention. It’s been after-the-fact thinking all along. From providing Ukraine with a comprehensive air defense system to snapping back the arms embargo of UNSCR 2231 on the transfer of military hardware against Iran, which Biden opposed in February of 2021.

Here is a paragraph Jennifer Hansler wrote for CNN detailing the component of that failed foreign policy:

UNSCR 2231 was tied to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, and elements of that resolution, including a ban on the transfer of conventional weapons, were phased out in 2020. The Trump administration attempted to unilaterally snap back the arms embargo in September 2021 and the Biden administration told the UN Security Council it was reversing those efforts in February 2021. Folks, that National Security Council is missing a chromosome.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE NATIONAL SECURITY APPARATUS?

As it was during the Obama era of retreat on the international stage, the Biden Administration, with Jake Sullivan as the National Security Adviser, is almost emulating the same fearful tactics. Yes, Biden is helping Ukraine defend against Russia (unlike Obama), but it is almost always too little and too late.

The Ukrainians asked for a comprehensive air defense system back in May 2021, which Biden declined to provide. Now, it finds itself forced to act because the new Russian Iranian alliance is changing the dynamics on the fields of battle.

Go figure how President Biden is thinking by letting Putin remain one step ahead.

What is wrong with the National Security Council at the White House? Between Brett McGurk recommending the meeting-to-nowhere between President Biden and the murderer Mohammad bin Salman, and Jake Sullivan who seems to be asleep at the helm, there is a missing link in the structural make-up of that council.

Folks, that National Security Council is missing a chromosome.

From where we are sitting, this Russian Iranian alliance is going to produce more disasters for the United States than we can see today.

THE THREATS OF A RUSSIAN IRANIAN ALLIANCE

Ukraine has been asking Israel for a copy of its effective Iron Dome air defense system, which the Israelis, so far, have declined to provide on the grounds it may alter the delicate balance the Israelis engineered with Russia dominating the Levant region. This new Russian Iranian alliance simply highlights the potential and eminent danger to the Middle East region.

Think Iran seeking Russian assistance in taking over the region as a whole. As opposed to Russia invading and occupying Ukraine the Iranians are now fully on-board in helping. Did Iran trade Ukraine for a new country, or a new dynamic in the Middle East that would cement further its dominance? One cannot but consider that paying for these kamikaze drones is inconsequential to the strategic quid pro quo the Iranians have asked for.

Why is the Biden Administration miscalculating the risks of its passive role on the international stage? The fear gripping the National Security people at the White House spells trouble for the whole world. They just don’t seem to be thinking ahead as Russia keeps outplaying them in this chess match.

Between Biden taking his time to decide, and Jake Sullivan taking no time to consider the consequences of his apathy, the United States is playing catch-up to two third-world countries.

Does anyone see this, or are we sounding a false alarm? From where we are sitting, this Russian Iranian alliance is going to produce more disasters for the United States than we can see today.

What is our President doing about it? It just seems he is still mulling the consequences.
