The Time of Three Simultaneous American Presidents

The Time of Three Simultaneous American Presidents
Washington today experiencing the time of three simultaneous American Presidents in Joe Biden, Joe Manchin, and Kyrsten Sinema.

Between 1378 and 1417 A.D., three different Popes in the Catholic Church claimed legitimacy to the papacy in what is dubbed today the Western Schism or the Papal Schism. In effect, this medieval era reminds us of Washington today experiencing the time of three simultaneous American Presidents in Joe Biden, Joe Manchin, and Kyrsten Sinema. Just so we are clear, our second President that the poorest State in the Union has elected flexed his presidential muscles by declaring he will not vote for the Build Back Better legislation this year as he dilutes the legislation’s purpose down to a no-good-for-anyone legislation.

One that originally Democrats intended mostly to help poor and deprived West Virginians is going to end up helping only the richest corporations on the planet. Thanks mostly to the unelected Presidents Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.

You see, rich corporate interests have bought our second and third Presidents Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema like cattle in the open market.

Welcome to the American Democracy the two-party system has weakened to the point of delivering only contentious political battles and protecting only corporations and billionaires; all while parading as exceptional.

As the Catholic Church had three popes all claiming legitimacy and power, so does America today feel like it has three American Presidents all seeking control and power.

BLAME BIPARTISANSHIP DURING TIMES OF LACK OF VOTER CONTROL

In its purest forms, bipartisanship is a democratic procedure whose goal of compromise is something we should all aim for. That said, compromise among legislators when voters have no control over Congress is a pipe dream. For anyone to seek bipartisanship when the rich and powerful buy our Congress with so little is the very essence of insanity.

The American people vote once every two, four, or six years for their politicians. But once in office, the American voters lose total control over the actions of their representatives. How is bipartisanship supposed to work when those in power favor corporate special interests at the expense of the needs of the American people. How much did you spend on drugs last year?

The only reason we have three American Presidents today is because the first President is incapable of controlling the two Senators. He believes that through dialogue, we can reach a satisfactory compromise. All while knowing how much money Manchin and Sinema are raising to oppose his legislation. Talk about being mellow!!

As the Catholic Church had three popes all claiming legitimacy and power, so does America today feel like it has three American Presidents all seeking control and power.

No wonder Donald Trump popularity remains a threat.

Hey, Ron Klain, can I show you how to reveal your fangs?
