To call Alvin Bragg the Trump slayer a hero does not give justice to his courage and bravery in the face of Trump’s intimidation tactics, racism, and bigotry; especially against powerful African-Americans, the law stands by their side. Not only did the District Attorney of New York mark his glorious entry into the history books with determination to see the law upheld, but he refused to let Donald Trump bend him to his will, something that may encourage other prosecutors in so many other legal cases against the former President to take the first steps in issuing their own indictments as they too brave the Trump sword.

All this happening while Trump’s own White Supremacist allies in Congress are “illegally interfering” in the Alvin Bragg ongoing investigation, which, incidentally, failed to subdue the District Attorney or his staff into submission. Not because of political inclinations or against any, but because these civil servants have sworn to uphold the law. Their loyalty to true justice is remarkable, as it speaks volumes about the integrity of Alvin Bragg and his staff.

Alvin Bragg the Trump slayer gives us all hope that the law holds powerful men accountable, even when our country is experiencing unprecedented political duress that might bend some of us to ignore the few in the service of the greater good. But Alvin Bragg is having none of it. The law is the law. Period.

The judge presiding over his case will have to control Trump, or his uncontrollable sick mind might just turn the whole affair into a spectacle of corruption.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

The chances are high that Donald Trump may turn this event into a circus. A violent one, we might add. Will he invite his supporters to show up at the courthouse in New York to intimidate its legal system? Or, will he try and intimidate the jury, whose selection will begin shortly after he is arraigned? No one knows yet. Donald Trump is probably conspiring his next move at Mar-a-Lago today.

One thing is certain though. His lawyers, most likely, would advise him to stand down and submit to the legal proceedings. But since Donald Trump has never been held accountable in all his life before March 30, 2023, would he finally see the light of day that he can no longer run free of any legal encumbrances, or will he revolt and challenge the law as if he is above it? We are betting on the latter, or, at least, for some diversionary tactic to consolidate his base for 2024.

If Trump invites his MAGA fanatics to show their teeth, how would he approach it without falling on his own sword again? After all, the January 6 template has failed him spectacularly along with his Capitol charging supporters, many of whom are rotting in jail today.

A circus is what we should expect from Donald Trump. The judge presiding over his case will have to control Trump, or his uncontrollable sick mind might just turn the whole affair into a spectacle of corruption.

Trump and his supporters believed he [Alvin Bragg] would “Shut up and mull over endlessly”. Instead, he put a corrupt white man in his place, using the law as his slaying sword.

TRUMP NO LONGER HOLDS THE UPPER HAND

If Trump intends to turn the proceedings into a comedic bazaar, he needs first to consult the latest polls, which show the majority of the American people believe that the investigations are fair. The poll, which NPR and Marist conducted, show that 56% of Americans are on the side of Alvin Bragg and his team of prosecutors and investigators.

For someone running for President, 56% of would-be voters lands him in the loss column. Especially, if he resists the legal proceedings through intimidation and interference.

But since Trump is Trump, will he make any pragmatic calculations to shore up his support, or will Trump believe that our short-memory can afford him to maneuver illegally over the life of the case against him? If so, how will the polls change if he starts bullying everyone sitting in his judgment?

We believe Trump no longer holds the upper hand. That does not mean he won’t win the nomination in 2024 because Ron DeSantis is so not ready to become a President. In fact, like Trump, he is totally unfit to become our commander-in-chief.

Meanwhile, as the saga continues, let us all hail Alvin Bragg for his bravery. Trump and his supporters believed he would “Shut up and mull over endlessly”. Instead, he put a corrupt man in his place, using the law as his slaying sword.

Bravo Alvin Bragg.
