We Can Defeat Trumpism With Determination and Valor

Donald Trump is a cancer ravaging our country from within. His very existence is a threat to the existence of our republic, but while he continues his war on this country, we must all stand up to him. We can defeat Trumpism with determination, honor, and valor. Often, we underestimate the will of the American people, and for their propensity to do the right thing, at the right time, and for the right reasons.

In the months to come, Americans must concentrate on those who can fight for the republic, and forget the cowards who refused to convict Donald Trump. We must rise to higher moral grounds to propel our just cause to soar for its righteous purpose and noble objectives. Our country deserves nothing less than our commitment to survive this dark era to emerge stronger and more resilient than ever before. None of us should capitulate to Trumpism and its capacity to destroy and burn nations and people across the globe if unleashed.

If not for the few true patriots in the GOP who stood their ground, the majority of the party just let Trump drive a truck through them.

REPUBLICANS ARE RESPONSIBLE

The Republican Party is fully responsible for giving Trump the leash that led us to the insurrection. Had the party taken a tougher stand on his first impeachment with regard to his call to the Ukrainian President, America might have avoided January 6. Instead, the GOP lifted him on the shoulders of its Congress and he emerged even more arrogant, more emboldened, and more lethal.

If not for the few true patriots in the GOP who stood their ground, the majority of the party just let Trump drive a truck through them. Despite his lies and despite crossing the line on so many occasions. If it was not for people like Rep. Liz Cheney and Senator Mitt Romney, the bravest of the brave, imagine the hold Trump had on their colleagues. Especially, Senator Mitt Romney, who, from day one stood against Donald Trump for his unethical behavior. We should never forget the fearlessness of these true patriots. They are the real GOP.

Everyone else, like Hawley and Cruz, are just opportunists; two Trump wannabees trying to capture his magnetic hold on the party. We hope their constituents eventually kick them out of office.

Now that Trump is left in everybody’s rear view mirror, the GOP is trying to distance itself from him. The leadership may have realized that the Impeachment Managers’ case, thanks to Rep. Jamie Raskin and his team, has damaged the Trump brand forever. Their stitched videos showed the real ugly Trump that very few people understood before.

Regardless, the GOP is responsible for the Trump monstrosity no matter their behavior today after acquitting him for the second time.

Final word. We can defeat Trumpism if we unite against the man to show that our country is unwilling to commit self-suicide. Like Hitler was mentally deranged, so is Donald Trump.

THE COUNTRY NEEDS TO SPIT TRUMP OUT OF ITS CONSCIOUS

America is facing immense challenges ahead. To resolve these problems, we need both parties to act in the best interests of the American people. In effect, we need Donald Trump out of the picture; free or in jail, Trump needs to ride in the sunset sooner than later.

As much as i welcome a more balanced GOP now closing rank against Trump, let us not forget that the likes of McConnell, Hawley, Cruz, McCarthy, and Rand Paul brought us to this point of implosion. Collectively, they brought us to the abyss. Let us never forget that. As far as this author is concerned, these Republicans are as guilty as Trump was in his crimes. They were his complicit cohorts sitting on the sideline while Trump ransacked our Capitol. Josh Hawley’s actions encouraged Trump’s actions and gave him the excuse and the time to have Trump’s mob storm Congress.

Final word. We can defeat Trumpism if we unite against the man to show that our country is unwilling to commit self-suicide. Like Hitler was mentally deranged, so is Donald Trump. He was always unfit to be a U.S. President, and the American people should have listened to Mary Trump when she wrote in her book:

Donald today is much as he was at three years old: incapable of growing, learning, or evolving, unable to regulate his emotions, moderate his responses, or take in and synthesize information.Mary L. Trump: Too Much and Never Enough
