Punditry StaffWhat Republican Party? After this mid-term trickle of a stream, instead of the gigantic red wave most GOP pundits predicted, it is anything but a shellacking. Looking at the outcome so far, when will the GOP realize that Trump is dead weight? It seems if the leadership does not, the Grand Ole Party will keep losing more elections even as Biden suffers from historically low approval numbers. Not that his front runner alternative, Ron DeSantis the Murdochs just blessed as the future leader of the Republican Party, with as much authoritarianism running in his blood stream as the con man is any better.
There are two elements to this Blog. One part deals with what the Republican Party has turned into the loser party. Just like Trump. The other deals with how Donald Trump has become a real Mafia boss threatening his opponents openly and unashamedly.
In fact, we believe Cheney should throw her nomination in the ring. Let us all watch Trump squirm with dizziness to defend against a deluge of real red Republicans.
DIRT IS ABOUT TO FLY
We are not admirers of Ron DeSantis, but anyone in the White House is better than Trump. So the chances, given what Trump already said he would do if DeSantis challenged him in 2024, are pretty high the dirt is about to fly publicly and openly between the two. How and where did Trump pick up that dirt? Any doubt he collected it illegally while President. This is who he is. A crook of the first order. He said it as much.
The BBC published an article in which Gareth Evans writes:
The likelihood Trump’s dirt on DeSantis is overrated are also pretty high. Trump has this habit of throwing things at people hoping one would stick. Him calling DeSantis DeSanctimonius is one of those moments. Smart are those who can guess why this particular label. Think DeSantis heritage.
Consider this scenario. Both Mike Pence and Ron DeSantis challenge Trump in 2024. One whose incentive is to pay Trump back for sending his terrorists to the Capitol to hang him, and the other for his better than good chances of removing the crown of the king of malice and deceit. In the background, Liz Cheney will be cheering both on as she plots for her revenge comeback possibly in 2028.
In fact, we believe Cheney should throw her nomination in the ring. Let us all watch Trump squirm with dizziness to defend against a deluge of real red Republicans.
Maybe Cheney won’t win anytime soon, but it is high time to elect a woman for President.
