Punditry StaffWhy are Arab Americans more skeptical than your average American voter? The more Joe Biden tries to misdirect them and lie to them, the less he is gaining from such shenanigans. It is a question that neither Joe Biden nor his Secretary of State, who surrounded themselves with American Jewish policymakers, or worse, violent Zionist policymakers, can answer.
But for the first and second generations of that community and the Muslim American community, it is a very simple answer. Their skepticism has been anchored by decades of dealing with Arab and Muslim dictators whose very existence is one big lie. There is no spin, no words, and no promises they heard before they could trust if not backed by an irrefutable action of a deed.
Unlike the average American voter, who believes everything politicians tell them, Arab Americans are the “show me” people in this country.
So, when Biden leaks lies to the press to try to convert the anger of Arab Americans into Biden votes, they see and smell his deceptions and lies coming at them miles away. No one is better at lying than the dictators of the Middle East; they all know so well, and trust so little.
If Biden was truly changing policy, he would have called for the dismantlement of all settlements on the West Bank by a certain date in the future, and he would have imposed a ceasefire on Israel.
ABOUT WHISPERS AND MEGAPHONES
If Biden’s policy in support of taming Israeli terror against Gaza is a whisper of political craftiness, then his policy in support of genocide against the Palestinian people is a megaphone of death and destruction. No one in their own right mind would believe anything Biden is planning to do that favors the Palestinians, nor would they believe the words his administration officials utter to appease a massive anti-Biden movement catching fire across the country.
Take, for example, Antony Blinken’s recent comment calling Israeli settlements “inconsistent” with international law. The word “inconsistent” could mean anything except illegal, which what he should have said if he intended to show a major policy position shift. “Inconsistent” with international law could also mean that the settlements do not conform with international laws, in building code, but which does not make them illegal. With the American political craftiness, it is all about action.
Do you smell the stench of Biden, the imposter and his vile shenanigans? We do as he tries, every way he can, to either scare Arab Americans that his alternative is worse, or convince them that he is all pro-Palestinian. All the while, he keeps sending Israel weapons to kill women and children and vetoes any U.N. resolution against a ceasefire in Gaza.
