Levant Uncensored Main Homepage website is a US-based Syrian-American news and Blogs website opposed to all terror in Syria and the region. Be it the Assad or the ISIS terror, Israel against the Palestinians, the Hezbollah or the al-Qaeda terror, the Iranian or the al-Nusra terror. Syrians and Syrian-Americans are fed-up and tired with terror, regardless who perpetrates it or where its source emanates. This is our introduction to Levant Uncensored.
Enough terror. Enough barbarism. And enough of our patience.
In our Introduction to Levant Uncensored, you will notice we do not write to please, or to get tweeted more often, or to be quoted. In fact, most of our articles and Blogs are politically incorrect because we aim to confront those who empower terror without mincing our words or stifling our thoughts. We hope you enjoy our fresh approach and the ideas we present here that might make a difference.
Furthermore, in this Introduction to Levant Uncensored, we believe that political despotism, economic deprivation, and social stagnation in the Middle East have contributed significantly to the increase in domestic and international terrorism and to an Arab public policy based on abuse of human rights and the spread of tyranny.
Arab countries must begin to use their resources to educate its youth and to provide everyone with the economic opportunities that would permit their people to join the world community as equals in purpose and aspirations.
If the Arab regimes do not adapt to where the wind is blowing, the wind will blow them away. The Arab Spring is not over yet until poverty, cronyism, and corruption, so rampant, are eradicated. We would be fooling ourselves if we believed that ruthless rulers are the answer to defeating terror. Ruthless rulers kick the hornets nest down the road.
At Levant Uncensored, we believe fighting terror also means embracing accountability and transparency, protection of human rights, freedom of expression, and peaceful co-existence with all of Syria’s neighbors.
As Levant Uncensored confronts terror aggressively, we must not lose sight of our soul or humanity.
