Let us suppose, for a minute, God forbid, that indicted former president Donald Trump wins the nomination and a dangerous return to the White House. Let us also assume that Trump would follow through with his latest threats to turn this country into an authoritarian hotbed where the government no longer serves the people, but turns into an avenging machine to serve Trump’s personal vendettas. It is possible, under this scenario, that Trump may face impeachment and be forced to leave office, and it would be foolish of us not to consider that Trump might expect this maneuver to save our republic. However, we must also consider that Trump strategy to skirt a third impeachment will no doubt come into the shape of a poison pill where his VP selection might be far worse, and far less palatable.

Said differently, what if Trump selects Tucker Carlson, or Marjorie Taylor Greene as his running mate? What then? How could the Senate impeach him when the alternative is not even imaginable? Yes, folks. The best way to avert such a scenario where the choice is between an authoritarian Trump or a technically mental Marjorie Taylor Greene is not to vote for the man.

It all really comes down to 2024 to save this country.

In short, if you think the 2020 election was bizarre, wait until 2024 comes around.

FARFETCHED, YOU SAY?

Oh, please, don’t tell us this is farfetched. Don’t tell us that Donald Trump would risk losing should he select an unpopular figure? If not Carlson, or Greene, how about Shawn Hannity? Or, better yet, how about Donald Trump, Jr.? Who, in the MAGA world, would object to his idiot offspring?

Just get ready, is all we are saying. The final laugh may be Trump’s.

The point of this blog is to warn our readers to expect the unexpected. And while the Biden campaign may have a field day denouncing his running mate, the anger among Biden voters may just be too severe to overcome at the ballot box.

In short, if you think the 2020 election was bizarre, wait until 2024 comes around.
